It´s just all the Lord putting him in his place. A place where he serves and her serves well.. PRIS
With an endless conversation, it was clear we had to meet again. He invited me to dinner with his missionary friend on Wednesday night... and the rest is history
Of course not! The three of us met and it was completely blessed, but not from the start. His missionary friend, Jet, 27, good looking, used to be a college football player from North Carolina(one of the Southern states). He used to drink and smoke weed and then he had a religious experience to stop and become a missionary. There I was sitting and being very kind and receptive. Although, when he asked me questions, he was a bit arrogant and questioning what I do. It was interesting as he was acting like a teacher to me. Roy saw this going on and made eye contact with me, but didn't say anything. When speaking, Jet made no eye contact when speaking and was focusing on his rotisserie chicken( chicken on the West End beach). He was sharing all his experiences healing people and leading them to God's word. My experiences and connections through spirit were just kind of disregarded. ]
Finally, when we were finished with our food was when Jet and I connected. When I went deeper on the connection and the recent experiences from my trip-he looked at me a bit differently. Jett then shared about how powerful our being is through Lord, Roy shared his church experience as he used to be a pastor, and I shared about how we all share the same purpose. Jet mentioned that he never shares his story with people and I told him that he needs to share his story. He needs people to know that he's human and that he's flawed and he's a sinner like all of us. At that moment, he actually said," I think you're right." This was shocking coming from him because he is very macho and is not the type to take advice on his practices-especially from a woman.
Next, Roy suggested ice cream at a home made ice cream shop and both of us were definitely interested. We walked to the ice cream store and right next door was a small white church-a gospel church. Instinctively, Jett and I both opened the door at the same time and we entered into something incredible. The Pastor was loud and proud. He was full of enthusiasm, knowledge, and God's love. Roy was hesitant to come in with us, but after he was glad he did. The pastor asked people to come forward and share their story and what they need from God. This was connection to what I told him.
Jet proudly walked to the front preaching to everyone saying, "Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord." It was a lot of repetition, but he truly made people smile(the 10 people that were in the church).
Standing in front in front of the pastor with his arms raised to the sky-his heart open. There he stood sharing his story and lifting his heart to the Lord. "Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord."
"Amen, Amen, and Amen" from others.
While people may have suffering or struggles-lift them out of these struggles Lord and to a better life. "Praise the Lord."
He once suffered from addiction, but God lifted him out of his pain and into his personal service.
As the Pastor kept speaking, everything overlapped with our conversation-treating our conversation as a confirmation. This is one of the best parts of being a believer when God gives you confirmation. It is the most beautiful, priceless thing on the planet. The pastor was confirming what we believe and what is God's word.
Unfortunately, I did not write in time to summarize more of what the Pastor said, but we walked out of the church touched and inspired. We spoke with him after service and he has been a pastor for 45 years. It was clear in his message that he had life experience and religious experience. Also, he was originally from South Africa. He was so happy and thankful for our visit; and our good friend Jet might just have found his new place to preach.
Next door was the ice cream place so we walked right over just in time before close. It was time to stop for ice cream where we all ordered ice cream cones: mint chocolate chip, mango, and vanilla. We sat on the swings thinking and contemplating the sermon. We were all pretty silent sitting and invested in our ice cream. With all this energy, we were looking to share it.'
As a result, we spoke with the young 18 year old girl working behind the counter. We shared how much we loved the service and asked if she every attended. This lead to her sharing her conflicted religious views, her difficulty feeling the spirit, and not believing in Jesus. Jet seemed to just stay out of it, but Roy and I were honestly speaking with her on how beautiful the Lord can be when you simply believe....
This was coming to the end of our night and I could see the total 360 in Jet's mood towards me. He listened, he saw me in church, and he watched me in action. He realized that I was not some sell out or person who recently came to faith. Since being a child, I am a believer and lover of Christ. In my mid life, I surrendered to him and now the rest is history.

This post is definitely not as powerful as the actual meeting between us, but sometimes proof is in the pudding....
